Gift of His Secret Place

Oh, how great is you goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence for the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion for the strife of tongues.  Psalm 31:19-20

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.  Psalm 33:7

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me!  For my soul trust in You; And in the shadow of your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by.  Psalm 57:1

Come to me and I will give you rest for your soul.  My hiding place is not for flesh and bone but your spirit  will find my hiding place.  

 Always remember that your spirit is to rule soul and body.  Inspect yourself.  One day you may need to clear your worries and cares; another day you may be tired from lack of sleep.  Recognize the excesses of the day and bring your soul and body into submission to me.

How do you find your secret place in me? 

1. Find a quiet place to come to me.

2. Confess your sin as the Holy Spirit convicts you.

3. Set your mind like a flint and do not be concerned with present circumstances of your life.

4. Praise and glorify my name.

5. Read and meditate on my Word and listen for the Holy Spirit's promptings, instructions, and Rhema knowledge.

6. Practice listening for my voice.  You will have a firm thought that comes to your mind.  Your spirit will witness that this thought is from me.

7. Pray in the Holy Spirit.

David, my servant gives true examples of how to find my secret place.  David inspects himself.  His emotions rule, but he brings his emotions in submission to me.  

"My spirit is over-whelmed and faints within me. (wrapped in gloom) my heart within my bosom grows numb.  I remember days of old; I meditate on all your doings; I ponder the work of your hands.    I spread forth my hands to you, my soul thirsts after you like a thirsty land for water.  Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning for in you I lean cause me to know the way I should walk, I lift my inner self to you."

David was my servant.  He was flesh and bone.  He had many sorrows.  Learn from David.  Adjust yourself to receive my secret place.
